Your body isn't broken.

It's just changed.

Your body isn't broken. It's just changed.

If you're in your 40s or 50s and something just feels… off — your energy, your weight, your focus, your sleep — you're not imagining it. Perimenopause and menopause shift the rules of how your body works. I help you understand those new rules and actually feel like yourself again.

Sound familiar?

Many of my clients come to me saying things like:

  • "I feel off — and I can't explain it"

  • "My body doesn't feel like my own"

  • "I'm doing everything right and nothing works"

  • "My labs are normal but I feel terrible"

  • "I'm exhausted by 2pm" "I can't think straight"

  • "I've gained weight and I'm barely eating"

  • "I wake up at 3am and can't fall back asleep"

  • "My cravings are out of control"

These are not signs of failure. They are signs of a real physiological shift — one that nutrition can directly support. This is exactly what I help with.

Imagine being able to...

  • Wake up feeling rested — without needing to white-knuckle your way through the morning.

  • Eat in a way that supports your energy, not just your weight.

  • Understand what your body is actually asking for (and stop guessing).

  • Think clearly and feel sharp again — not just on good days.

  • Stop blaming yourself for what is really a hormonal shift, not a willpower problem.

  • Have a plan built around your life, not a generic protocol built for someone else.

  • This is the work we do together — not with a rigid program, but with practical strategies that make sense of what's happening in your body and give you tools that actually fit your real life.

Green Goodness

My Approach to Perimenopause Nutrition

I don't hand you a meal plan and send you on your way. My approach is about understanding what is actually happening in your body and building habits that work with it — not against it.

Fuel · Signals · Recovery

My core framework for midlife metabolism. We look at how you're fueling your body, what your hunger and energy signals are telling you, and how well you're recovering — sleep, stress, digestion.

Cravings as Data

Cravings aren't weakness. They're dashboard lights. We decode what your cravings are telling you about your body's needs so you can respond — not react.

The Energy Plate

Protein, fiber, and fat — in the right balance — are the foundation of stable blood sugar and sustained energy during perimenopause. I'll show you exactly what this looks like in your actual meals.

Habit Experiments, Not Rigid Plans

Life in midlife is full. I help you build small, sustainable shifts that compound over time — so you don't have to overhaul everything to feel dramatically better.

Why Nutrition?

Why nutrition is one of the most powerful tools in perimenopause

IDuring perimenopause, estrogen fluctuates and eventually declines — and estrogen plays a role in far more than reproduction. It affects how your body manages blood sugar, stores fat (especially around the belly), processes stress, regulates sleep, and maintains muscle mass. When estrogen shifts, your entire metabolic environment shifts with it.

This is why women in perimenopause often find that what used to work — the same diet, the same exercise, the same sleep schedule — suddenly doesn't. It's not a personal failure. It's physiology.

Nutrition directly supports the hormonal shifts of perimenopause by stabilizing blood sugar, reducing inflammation, supporting cortisol balance, preserving lean muscle, and feeding the gut microbiome that influences mood and energy. But the approach has to change. What worked at 35 may not work at 45 — and that's exactly what I help you navigate.

Working with a perimenopause dietitian in Chicago and Illinois

If you've been searching for a dietitian who specializes in perimenopause or menopause in the Chicago area — Evanston, Skokie, Glenview, or anywhere in Illinois via telehealth — I'd love to connect. Many of my clients have already seen their primary care provider, had their labs come back "normal," and still feel like something is off. That's often where I step in.

I offer 1:1 nutrition counseling that accepts many insurance plans as well as self-pay options. We'll start with a discovery call so you can share what's going on and I can let you know how I'd approach it. There's no obligation — just a real conversation.

Common concerns I work with in perimenopause and menopause include: unexplained weight gain (especially around the midsection), persistent fatigue and afternoon energy crashes, brain fog and difficulty concentrating, sleep disruption, increased cravings and blood sugar swings, digestive changes, and feeling like your body just doesn't respond the way it used to.

If any of that sounds like you, you're in the right place.
